MDC encourages fishers to properly dispose of hooks and lines


KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation wants fishers to dispose of their tangled fishing lines and used hooks properly.

MDC Media Specialist Bill Graham told KXCV/KRNW that fishing lines can trap and harm wildlife. But hooks can cause issues for humans at lakes and streams.

Graham says people are encouraged to dispose of fishing lines and hooks in trash sacks, or recycling pipe bins.
